Vancouver Bans Plastic Straws and Styrofoam!

Vancouver, British Columbia is the first major Canadian city to ban plastic drinking straws. The ban also extends to styrofoam products and will come into effect on June 1st, 2019. It is part of the city's Zero Waste 2040 strategy. The strategy aims to create a zero waste city by 2040. This is a major step for cities everywhere who wish to reduce the amount of garbage in their landfills and the danger of toxic items being consumed by animals in the environment.
