Canadian companies MEC and Lush Cosmetics will be shutting their stores and giving staff time off in order for them and other to attend the national climate strike that is happening this Friday. MEC CEO said "While our record of leadership in sustainability and advocacy makes us frontrunners in the outdoor industry, we recognize the need to take an even greater stand." on the matter.
